How you can upload a document to Google Drive

On your computer, click on the New button located in the top-left corner of the website and either select File upload or Folder upload. Then choose the files or folders you want to upload, click on Open or Upload, and you’re good to go. On a Mobile device, Open the Drive app, click the + icon in the bottom-right corner, and select the file you want to send to the cloud. You can also quickly upload files by opening them, tapping the Share button, then Save to Drive.

How you can share an editable document with a group of students collaborating on writing a research report

Open a file in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides. In the top right corner, click Share. Click the Get a shareable link in the top right of the Share with others box. To choose whether a person can view, comment, or edit the file, click the Down arrow next to Anyone with the link. down arrow icon. A file link will be copied to your clipboard. Paste the link in an email or anywhere you want to share it.

Explain how you can share the same editable document with only one of my students.

Click on the file within google drive and select the option to share. If you choose “People” and enter an email address, the file is shared directly with that person. Click the down arrow to manage their permissions. “View” doesn’t permit changes, Comment allows for suggestions but no direct edits, and Edit allows for collaborative work and alterations.

Explain how the student is going to send the edited document only to you and not to other students

Select the file you want to share. Click Share Under Share with people and groups, enter the email address you want to share with. To change what people can do to your doc, on the right, click the Down arrow Down and then Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. Choose to notify the person.
